Following the Borough Council elections on Thursday May 5th the Conservatives have retained control of Charnwood Borough Council. With all the results declared the Conservatives have 33 seats, Labour 16 seats, Lib Dems 1 seat, Independent 1 seat and BNP 1 seat.
Loughborough's MP, Nicky Morgan, is calling on local residents to back their Conservative council candidates in the Charnwood Council elections on Thursday 5th May.
The National No to AV campaign visited Loughborough on its national tour earlier this week. Loughborough MP Nicky Morgan was joined by local Conservatives, including Loughborough Association Chairman, Cllr Peter Lewis at the event to show their support for the No to AV campaign.
